New Goebel Media Group Website

GMG

Web design firms often have little time to spend on designing their own websites.  As the old proverb says– the shoemakers’ children always go without shoes.  However, we have finally launched the new and improved GoebelMedia.com. We are excited about having a fresh and modern look and a lot more quality information to educate our clients about what we do.

Free Web Design For Milledgeville Non-Profits

As part of our 2010 business plan here at Goebel Media Group we are reaching out to deserving organizations in our Milledgeville community to give back.

We understand there are some great causes here in Baldwin County that could benefit from having a professional website designed but may not be able to afford it.  For a limited time we are offering our website design services to these organizations free of charge.

If you would like more information about this offer for your Milledgeville, Ga based non-profit orginazation or just more information about Goebel Media Group please feel free to call 478-390-6770 or email us at info@goebelmedia.com.

A New Member of Our Team

I just wanted to make a short post to introduce and welcome the newest member of our team, Kevin.  Kevin is a Senior Art major at Georgia College & State University and will be joining us for a semester.  We are very excited to have him with us and we hope he learns a lot during his time here.

Career Day

img00257We were very excited when Flat Shoals Elementary asked us to be a part of their 2009 “Career Day.” And although it was difficult to follow the policeman from the Fulton County Bomb Squad with his robot, we definitely considered it a success! It was surprising to see how interested the kids were in website design.

We made a 15 minute presentation and left 5 minutes for questions. However, we went over our time in every classroom because the kids were so curious! We started out with the basics like what a domain name is then discussed how subjects like math and language arts apply to our career. It is so important that they can connect what they are learning in school to the real world.

Here are some of the questions we were asked:
1. How much money do you make?
2. Can you make a game online?
3. Is it easy to create websites?
4. What is your favorite part about your job?
5. Is writing HTML boring?

Maybe we sparked some interest in a younger generation today!
